I'm Not As Strong As I Think

I know I'm not some powerlifter, but I like to think that I'm fairly strong. You really can't be a single girl and not be able to move things that are bigger than you. This is why I probably figured I could move my old TV (which, at just 4-years-old, was suddenly dying on me) and replace it with a new one.

I unplugged it and carefully eased it out of the armoire. That wasn't so bad. I was quite surprised at how light my new TV is. I was also surprised it needed assembly. Why didn't the people at Best Buy tell me I'd have to screw the stand on? Here is the new TV in its new home.

Now, I couldn't just leave the old TV in the living room. I knew I would walk into it in the middle of the night and break my foot. So I tried sliding it. Nothing. I had to pick it up. I reminded myself to lift with my knees. That's what I thought I did as I hauled old TV to its current resting place in my office.
Then, I went about my usual tinkering around the house. When it was time for bed, I thought my back was a little sore. Then, I woke up in the middle of the night and realized it was more than a little sore. I tracked down my heating pad and fired it up. I believe I have pulled a muscle in my lower left back. I have moments where it's just a little sore, then others where I want to punch something (don't worry, the dog and cat have not been harmed - though the cat is certainly making it difficult for me to avoid this as he likes to jump on top of me when I get comfortable). I'm not looking forward to putting the clean sheets on my bed tonight as that could be the death of me.

If you don't get another blog post from me, please share some kind thoughts in the comments section about me. Otherwise, I will haunt you.
