If You Have A Sugardaddy And You Know It...

Don't just clap your hands! Tell the world!
I mean, who else gets a license plate that says this?
I suppose it's possible that the car dealer gave this driver a good rate? But the realist in me says, "No way. There's a dude who bought this for the girl and she wants everyone to know she's still spoiled."

Jealous? Perhaps. But how wrong could I be?

Week In Pop Culture

If this doesn't say, TGIF, I don't know what does (besides margaritas).

Potential DWTS casting news.

Interesting story about Joan Crawford.

Maybe a reality show will make us all want more of this guy?

UGH. This girl is hosting SNL next month. I can't take her voice for more than ten seconds!

I'll probably check out this show in the fall.

There's no way this divorce settlement is cheap.

With Academy Awards ads at these prices, I expect to see some good stuff - or at least ads better than what played during the Super Bowl.

Linda Gray!
Based solely on appearance, this is a coupling I don't get.

I was going to rally behind Jennifer Aniston until I saw the update on this story.

CREEP ALERT!

Billy Joel is mad at Elton John.

Can't unread this.

Ricky Gervais has an excellent casting recommendation for The Office.

Potentially interesting casting news?

Neil Patrick Harris's new home is lovely.

Hoping this couple is as OK as the wifey says.

I don't know if I buy this coupling. I'm not the only one.

A pop star/actress (?) is splitting from her rocker husband.

Well, it's not a meat dress.

I'm really excited about Julia Roberts' next role.

Lindsay Lohan is clueless. And maybe headed to prison.

This boring couple broke up again.

Charlie Sheen might not be completely horrible.

There's a movie critic that should check over his shoulder for Christian Bale.

Jennifer Lopez's home has no trace of toddlers.

Olivia Wilde is single.

This former Sex and The City lady has a new baby.

Seriously, Cindy Crawford?

Helena Bonham Carter is giving me another reason to look forward to the Academy Awards.

David Letterman is on medication?

Of all the Scientology stories I've heard, this one might be the craziest.

Tina Fey sets the record straight about working moms.

Meryl Streep is already wowing me in her next movie!

If Prince ever calls you onto the stage, YOU BETTER DANCE.

This news makes me want Sarah Palin to run for President.

UGH. It looks like that Sex and The City prequel is happening.

Let's pause for David Beckham.
Super stylish Rachel Zoe is still rocking heels - while eight months pregnant.

Selma Blair is also pregnant and in a bikini.

Snoop Dogg gives the best response to a girl who flashed him.

Kobe Bryant is not afraid to get a pedicure.

When I grow up, I want to be Dita Von Teese.

Katy Perry seems to be saying, "Look at my new perfume!" while her chest is screaming, "NO! LOOK AT ME!"
Fingers crossed that these guys find a way to make that HBO special happen!

If this is the alternative to a Dynasty reboot/movie, I'll take it!

This doesn't make me like Cameron Diaz or Alex Rodriguez any more. But I fully support their ab-off.

A Polaroid thief is on the loose.

Even actors take a hit to the face in real life.

This is SO the face of a guy who does not need an intervention.
A former SNLer is coming back to TV.

Zsa Zsa is back home. But this picture doesn't make me feel so good about that.

A TV show that's like Inception? I'll check that out.

If you believe this is really Joan Rivers' body, you should just go ahead and give me whatever cash is in your wallet now.

I don't even care that she flubbed the song. I just want to know why she looked so angry while singing it.

Rest in peace, Gary Moore.

Tura Satana.

ATTENTION PET OWNERS!

I have lived in my house for nearly four years now and three times, my dog has alerted me to strangers in our back yard. These strangers have been dogs, not people (thankfully). One of them belonged to the neighbor, whose adorable chocolate lab had been left outside for the weekend while his family went out of town. Side note: this dog is outside year-round and is hungry for attention. I have been tempted to find him a more suitable home - especially if he crashes through my fence again.

Twice, I have found dogs in my back yard that I had never seen before. The first time, they were boxers. They had collars, but no tags. I don't have a leash for a dog that size, and since they listened fairly well, I opened the gate and followed them as they made their way to another back yard. I never saw "missing dogs" posters, so either they weren't missed or they went home.

Yesterday, my dog barked to wake me. I knew I hadn't missed someone knocking on the door, so I checked the back door. Not one, but TWO schnauzers. By the time I got dressed (it was in the 20s with strong winds - too much for my pjs to handle), I only found one in the yard. He was calm and cold, so I invited him in.
Not only did he have a collar, he also had tags! I was directed to this website, entered the code from the tag and learned his name was Luke Skywalker. FOR REALS. I shouted, "LUKE!" and he came running to me. Then, I called the number listed. His owner had no idea he and his sister were outside - they're inside dogs. I have no idea how they escaped their home, but I'm glad he had a tag that made it easy for me to find his home.

I am especially happy to have reunited them so easily. I have a tag on my dog (the cat is on his own - not that he has tried running outside since he clearly knows he has it good inside). The dog is micro-chipped. But I would be devastated if I came home and my dog was missing. I panic a little when he decides to run along with the UPS truck that he might dart out into the street. At least once a week I have to lecture him about walking behind me in the street (I think he does it just to get me to tell him to get back up on the sidewalk - wienerdogs are rebels, y'all).

I write this not to tell you about my crazy dog adventures, but to beg you pet owners to put some sort of ID on them. Whether it's your phone number (make it a cell in case you're away from home), a website or a microchip - anything will make it that much harder for the person who finds your pet to decide he/she could give it a better home. The relief you'll feel when someone lets you know that they have your pet is worth it.

How Not To Say "I Love You"

Valentine's Day is one week away. It's the one day out of the year you're actually expected to tell people you love them. If you don't say it with words, you better say it with a gift. Here are five gifts you should not give, unless the recipient is someone you don't actually love - well, not THAT way.

I got this in my e-mail from Bath and Body Works. My initial thought was, "Because nothing says I love you like antibacterial gel?" If you think your sweetie will drop trou at the site of this little gift, think again.

WHO SHOULD GET THIS GIFT: That co-worker who uses his sleeve for a tissue, the person who shares your workspace, teachers, cab drivers and strippers. It's also good for anyone who has to make hand-to-hand contact with strangers (or strange people).

Those, friends, are coupons for "LOVE." Yeah. If you're giving those, you might as well say, "I'm cheap" or "I forgot it was Valentine's Day" or "Since I don't do these things without you prodding, just hand me the coupon and don't say a word - just make sure it's not interrupting my favorite game/TV show."

WHO SHOULD GET THIS GIFT: No one who actually wants to be reminded that you love him/her.

If you're giving your girlfriend/wife the boyfriend pillow, you might as well include a breakup Post It. Even if you don't like cuddling, giving her a pillow that simulates it is lame. Same goes for this:
The girlfriend pillow is no better. Don't do it. Not for Valentine's Day. Maybe for April Fool's Day.

WHO SHOULD GET THIS GIFT: Only your soon-to-be ex.

That's a key chain meant to look like an engagement ring. You give that to your girl and you should consider yourself lucky if you don't get punched in the face/kicked in the groin.

WHO SHOULD GET THIS GIFT: Teenage girls who have no business planning a wedding - or baby shower, for that matter.

A coffee mug that lets a gal slide her ring finger through the hook thingy to appear that she's engaged? Um, absolutely not. I am really concerned that a lady I know may get one of these, since this site says it's sold out.

WHO SHOULD GET THIS GIFT: Your grandma. She'll think it's cute.

Super Bowl XLV Commercials

Super Bowl Sunday is supposed to be a social event - gathering with friends/family to watch The Big Game. However, I choose to be anti-social. Not that I don't like people (I do - mostly). It's that I don't care about the game. I do love the commercials. Here are my favorites:

Put a cute dog in a commercial and let him get the last laugh? I'm SO on board with that!

Oh, this is what it would be like to watch the Super Bowl with my grandparents.

It should not surprise those of you who know me that I giggled at this ad. I still don't know if Pepsi Max is a drink or a weapon, but I might try it just to find out. CONSIDER THAT A WARNING.

I like that this ad is kind of a tribute to Apple. Not sure Motorola is as cool as Apple. But it's trying.

This is definitely one of the best ads of the game. Also, I hope this kid outgrows this. His teenage years will be  even more awkward.

I see what's happening here. Monkeys are the new Asians. And Careerbuilder might be racist.

This makes me miss The Osbournes TV show. Also, will someone tell me what it takes to get this Bieber kid out of my television? He's EVERYWHERE!

This was Eminem's second ad (the other was animated and not good) and it made me wonder if Eminem needs money. I really don't think he's rolling around Detroit in a Chrysler. But if it helps the good people of Detroit to think that, then GOOD FOR THEM!

I love a commercial that includea "Ow! My nose!" and Urkel.

I don't so much care for the new Mercedes as I really and truly want one of the classic ones. Also, Diddy's car coming to life? Bonus!

Oh, fellas! I totally get this one! Dude fantasy with hot girl who drives hot car - and she's a GOOD driver! HEELARIOUS! Also, sexist. Don't think I didn't see that.

Week In Pop Culture

This is the ad everyone was watching this week.

Jennifer Aniston made Perez Hilton nice.

Not sure it's necessary, but this cartoon duo is coming back.

I forgot all about this actor, who's getting divorced.

This late night funny guy is a new dad.

The White Stripes broke up.

Something that was very close and personal to Farrah Fawcett is going to The Smithsonian.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt has the world's best agent.

Lindsay Lohan might have sticky fingers.

This story about David Blaine's blizzard baby is crazy.

Diana Ross is just like me!

I have a greater appreciation for Hugh Jackman.

This recently-split couple had a reunion.

Elton John is sending some tough love Billy Joel's way.

Jane Lynch is writing a memoir.

Mariah Carey is having a boy AND a girl.

These are fun, but still not enough to get me to see a Tyler Perry movie.

Good news for Katie Holmes: that Kennedys thing has a home.

Those Glee kids made nicey-nice with Lindsay Lohan.

Hello, Bo Derek!

This SNL host/performer combination is, um, interesting.

I am SO on board with this potential Bond villain!

Halle Berry is ready to fight to keep her baby. And it looks like it's going to be ugly.

Is Ben Affleck to blame for Keith Olbermann's ouster?

Sorry. Can't find any bit of Jeff Goldblum hot.

You can find the answer to the question "Who is the most desirable woman of 2011?" here.

If this is true, Hollywood has a better sense of humor than I thought.

I really hate seeing photos of celebrities without makeup - not because I feel bad for them, but because I know I look worse. Except maybe here.

Julianne Moore makes Talbots look sexy.
Still waiting for someone to tell me why Olivia Munn is famous - other than the obvious.

One more reason I find Andrew Garfield adorable.

When you pose naked, should you really be surprised that you look naked in the photo?

If you want to see a kind-of-celebrity get married on TV, here's your chance.

Christina Applegate has a baby girl.

Y'all, Christian Slater is NOT dead.

Guess which Bosom Buddy is on The Facebook?

Pam Anderson clearly does not use Botox.

One DWTS pro is skipping the next season.

Gwyneth Paltrow confuses me. Either she thinks people are mean and she wants to give them the metaphorical finger, or she wants to curl up and cry. PICK ONE, LADY.

An old rocker (musician, not chair) is going to jail.

This divorce seemed to be settled at record speed.

Justin Timberlake turned 30 this week.

Despite all those awards and pretty dresses, Claire Danes is just like us.

I'm a bit iffy on the new Superman.

Apparently, you can count on Britney Spears not upstaging you at your wedding.

Guess who's out of rehab?

This celebrity Twitter feud makes me roll my eyes.

Another rapper has gotten a ridiculous tattoo. Want to know who will regret this? Click here. And in case you missed it, here's the other ridiculous rapper tattoo.
This movie mother-son pairing could be fun.

Does Jeff Zucker have a crush on Katie Couric?

Charlie Sheen, just, ugh. And he's falling apart. Also, not technically in rehab (yet). And his shenanigans are costing CBS a lot of cash.

Mark Wahlberg has another project in the works. I think he can do no wrong (not just because he could beat the crap out of me).

The Director's Guild Awards were last weekend.

The SAG Awards were also this weekend. Here's what the stars wore.

It doesn't get more awkward than this.

That Charlie's Angels reboot is really happening.

So is Dallas. This news makes me a little more interested in it.

The Sundance Film Festival ended and I can't wait to see some of the big winners.

This Scarlett Johansson is better than this one.

Because I would not like to be on Christian Bale's bad side, I am totally on board with this.

FINALLY! This guy is acting his age.

Jeff Buckley biopic? Yes, please!

Seems like Sherri Shepherd is playing herself in her next TV show.

Kevin Smith is totally on the crazy train.

This guy's lucky he's not going to prison. Not sure how inmates would treat a TV cop.

Here's some promising news on the new Bond movie.

I'm fairly certain Diddy isn't worrying about this lawsuit.

A former Facts of Life star says she loves ladies.

Rest in peace, Maria Schneider.

Where There's A Sucker...

There's an infomercial. Or at least someone (this girl) willing to sit through an infomercial or scour an ad to see if these people can seriously sell me on some garbage. Here's my latest roundup of products that caught my eye but won't get my cash.

Xenadrine
Who wouldn't want to lose weight and gain muscle? And if you can get a little help from a bottle, would you? What if you could look like this guy:
Well, I prefer not to look like a douchebag (even if it means more muscle, less fat). I tried to see his progress on Facebook and, well, it's not exactly a glowing endorsement of the product. It's like the live show of his douchebaggery that you kids miss from that Jersey Shore show. Also, if you're taking health advice from a reality show "star," you really should get a doctor. Or, perhaps you should just go ahead and make me a beneficiary. Just in case.

Speaking of reality TV star advice...

Perfect Skin

Now, I do think these Kardashian sisters have great skin (and hair and eyelashes), but I in no way believe they get it out of a bottle. I think there's a lot of help from makeup and some extensions in that hair. Plus, they have a whole glam team. I have seen what these girls look like without makeup. Perfect skin? Not so much.

Bosom Max
I spotted this ad in a magazine.

I decided I needed to do a little bit of research. I found this ad (it's in Spanish, but I think you get the idea).

Vitamin supplement, some sort of firming lotion and a massager you strap on your chest? Ladies, no. This will not work - not permanently any way. Either be happy with what you have, buy a push-up bra or some of those chicken cutlet thingies or save up for some implants. This is just a waste of money. But if you get one, please post video of yourself using this.

EZ Cracker
I have gone back and forth on this one. Part of me hates getting egg on my hands when cracking eggs. No matter how careful I am, I just can't avoid it. Could this really be the answer to my cooking dream?

Probably not. It seems like it takes a couple of steps, then you still have to get the shells into the trash. But it looks kind of fun.

Perfect Casting

This has become one of my favorite time wasters.
I have to play with the sound down (not just because it's kind of loud, but also because my dog and cat seem to think my phone is talking to them).

While I was a little skeptical of this silly game being turned into a movie, I did spy this "casting" in Entertainment Weekly.

PERFECTION!
Plus, he's already got the hair for it!

He could be a little to serious for the other birds but, again, he looks the part.

He might be the bird most likely to be attacked by the other birds.

As long as he follows his nose, he'll be fine.

You can't have a bird movie without this guy!

There Go The Good Movies

It's almost like Hollywood says, "Eh, it's award season. Let's churn out the crap we've had laying around so the nominators will forget how bad these movies really are." So, friends, allow me to introduce you to the movies that won't get my time this month.

Sanctum

I can't think of a single thing about this that does not sound predictable or boring. I don't care if James Cameron produced it. I can't even imagine watching this on cable TV.

The Roommate

I barely tolerated this in the 90s when it was called Single White Female. This, and two bad roommate experiences, made me not want to live with girls ever. Why? Because we're all crazy - and not all crazy is fun/good. That goes for movies like this.

Just Go With It

Oh, where do I start? I used to love Adam Sandler. Now, he's playing the same character over and over. And with Jennifer Aniston? This girl makes the same silly faces in every movie. If she's not playing Rachel, I'm not interested - and that's not even a guarantee. Oh! One more thing: in what world does a schlumpy guy like Adam Sandler score Brooklyn Decker? Unless he's a younger sugardaddy, there's no way this is remotely believable. Possibly less funny, too.

Gnomeo and Juliet

Yes, Hollywood. Gnomes are what we've been missing. I like an animated film every now and then, but this is ridiculous. It will probably be nominated for an award. Still not interested. Oh, also, if Hollywood thinks gnomes are the new vampires or werewolves, they are sooo wrong.

The Eagle

Why? Yes, this Channing Tatum guy is hot, but that's not enough for me.

Justin Bieber: Never Say Never

Hate to break it to you, Biebs, but I really CAN say never will I see this. I know I'm not his target audience, but I see no need to spend good money to see him whip his bad hair around in 3D.

I Am Number Four

Ugh. Absolutely not.

Unknown

Oh, Liam Neeson. I feel like you've made this movie a few times already. So, no.

Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son

I'd like to file this under category of "movies that should have never had a first go-round, let alone sequel." Besides, I find movies like this racist. And unfunny.

Vanishing on 7th Street

Are you kidding me?

Drive Angry

Nic Cage. Apparently his love of giant teeth, bad hair plugs and real estate have really wrecked his finances - or his judgement. How can he justify turning out crappy movie after crappy movie if not for the paycheck?

Hall Pass

This cast seems fun, but there is no way I'm rushing to a theater to see this. Not even adding it to Netflix. I'll check it out when it finally hits HBO. Maybe. These mid-life crisis movies do nothing for me. Maybe when I'm in crisis, I'll flock to these. I mean, my parents love that Wild Hogs movie. Typing that almost made me throw up.

Making The Cut:
NOTE: Dear movie people on Twitter, this will not get me to see your movie.
What might help: free movie ticket, popcorn and candy. Nice try. And thanks for the follow.
