I am the last of my friends to finish reading Breaking Dawn.
It's supposed to be the last book in the Twilight series. I have mixed feelings about the book. I won't talk about it here, in case you've stumbled upon my blog and haven't finished this. My thoughts will be in the comments section. If you've finished the book, please share your comments there, too!

OK - first of all, I'm not at all surprised Bella & Edward had sex. I figured that would have to be addressed. I suppose the message is good, since they waited until they were married to do the deed. And the sex was implied - not detailed.
I figured Bella would have to become pregnant, otherwise what new drama could happen? When she drank the blood threw the straw, I literally dry heaved. Then, when the baby (I refuse to use that crazy name) drank blood, I was grossed out again.
I suppose it's not that strange that Jacob imprinted on the baby. If he couldn't have Bella, he could have her baby.
The big build up at the end was a disappointment. The pseudo-suspense kept me turning the page to see the end of the kind vampires. Instead, they get to stay as they are - for eternity, I presume. I cannot believe that mass of vampires would let them all be - that they could just walk away without any bloodshed (with the exception of the narc).
I have read that Meyer has written a book from Edward's perspective. Could that be from the beginning, or where this one left off? Is there one from Jacob's perspective - or even the baby's? I don't know.
I still have The Host to complete, though who knows when I'll finish that. I'm disappointed. However, I am relieved to have finished the book, even though everyone I know finished it in days while it took me two weeks. On a scale of 1 to 5 I'd give it a 3.
One word: CREEPY!!!!!!!!!
I'd have to say that I finished the book in a few days. I, like you, felt a bit of dissappointment in the climax. It was a little anti-climatic for me. Perhaps I got used to - and in a way expect - death in dark children's books since Harry Potter. But I wanted the ending to be more... a force-field scared away the oldest, most dangerous coven of vampires? A little lame for me. But, she had me burning thru the pages to find out how it all ends, so that's a good thing.
I like that Jacob, Edward and Bella figured out how to co-exist. But it is a little odd to think of Jacob imprinting on a baby.
Overall, I'd give the book a 3.5 out of 5. The other three, however, all got 4.5....
